Conversations from the Pink Chair Charitable Trust

Exciting News: Conversations from the Pink Chair is on the Path to Charity Registration!

As of 8th November 2025, Conversations from the Pink Chair has formally applied to become a Registered Charity. The registration process with Charities Services typically takes around 20 weeks, and we are eagerly awaiting approval.

Our mission is to explore and amplify conversations around motherhood, womanhood, and the transformative power of language, creating a space where stories, insights, and experiences can be shared openly and meaningfully.

We are proud to introduce our Maternal Feminism Campaign, a platform dedicated to celebrating and supporting women in their journeys as mothers and as individuals. This campaign highlights the social, cultural, and emotional dimensions of motherhood, advocating for recognition, equality, and empowerment in both personal and professional spheres.

We are also seeking passionate and committed individuals to join us as Trustees to help guide and support this campaign. If you feel called to contribute to this important kaupapa and make a difference in the lives of women and families, we warmly invite you to send us a message to express your interest.

Together, we can nurture a community where every voice is valued and every story matters.

Our Purpose:

The purposes of the Trust are to operate exclusively for charitable purposes within New Zealand, including the advancement of education, community development, and the promotion of human rights, with a particular focus on the dignity and value of women and mothers.

Our Principles:

Dignity of Women and Mothers
Every woman and mother is inherently valuable, deserving of respect, recognition, and protection in society, family, and community.

Biological Reality Matters
The Trust affirms the biological reality of womanhood and motherhood as foundational to human identity, social structures, and personal well-being.

Maternal Feminism
Advocacy and education are guided by maternal feminism: the belief that women’s voices, especially mothers’, are central to shaping ethical, cultural, and societal values.

Empowerment Through Knowledge
Education, dialogue, and research are tools to empower women and mothers to understand their rights, exercise agency, and influence public policy and community culture.
